Questions & Answers

Frequently asked questions

The things families and prospective parents ask us most. Still curious? We’d love to hear from you.

What is the academic calendar?

Our academic calendar lists school days, holidays, breaks, and key events. You can always find the full, up-to-date calendar below.

Enrolled families can also see upcoming dates in the Parent Portal.

What ages do you serve?

We welcome children from 8 weeks through age 5 (pre-K) across three communities — Infant, Toddler (Wee Ts, Toddler 1 & 2), and Primary. Learn more on our Programs page.

What are your hours?

The core school day runs Monday–Friday, 8:30 AM – 2:15 PM. Early drop-off opens at 7:45 AM at no charge, and After Care runs until 5:30 PM.

Do you offer before- and after-school care?

Yes. Early drop-off begins at 7:45 AM (free), and our relaxed After Care runs until 5:30 PM, one to five days a week, with snacks, crafts, music, and outdoor play.

How do I enroll or schedule a tour?

The best first step is to visit. Book a tour and we’ll walk you through classrooms, meet our guides, and answer your questions in person.

What does tuition cost?

Tuition is billed monthly and varies by program. See current rates on our Programs & Tuition page. A sibling discount is available.

What makes Montessori different?

Children learn through hands-on, self-directed work in carefully prepared, mixed-age classrooms guided by trained Montessori teachers. The result is deep concentration, independence, and a genuine love of learning. Read more about our approach.

Are your teachers Montessori-certified?

Yes — our classrooms are led by credentialed Montessori guides. Meet the team on our Our Staff page.

Are staff and volunteers background-checked?

Yes. All employees are background-checked, and we adhere to the South Carolina DSS guidelines for employment. Volunteers go through our own internal process and procedures, which also include a background check.

Do families volunteer?

Each family contributes a set number of service hours each school year, or buys out the balance. Enrolled families log and track their hours in the Parent Portal.

Is the school year-round?

We offer both academic-year and year-round schedules so you can choose what fits your family. Our programs run with flexible day options throughout the year.
